Key Thought for this session:

“Ultimately I can go only one of two ways — which path do I take?”

And finally, we looked at the core assumption relative to how we are justified. In other words, “How are we made right and legitimate?”

Since the Carnal identity person is focused on earning his own rewards in life, this type of person tends to see his or her acceptance by others and God as a result of how well moral standards are met through personal effort.

In contrast, the Spiritual identity person sees his or her justification and legitimacy as being bestowed by God based on the goodness of God, and not based on our own efforts to be good.

So now let me ask you how YOU prefer to think about the best way for YOU to seek to be justified and accepted.
