The Gospel

What good do you think it does to believe something that is opposed to what God proclaims to be the truth? If God says you are a sinner who deserves His wrath, who are you to disagree with Him? But wait...there is some really good news you will want to know about: Even though you are worthy of God's judgment, because God is loving and merciful, it is God’s desire to be able to share with you His joy, His love, His goodness, and His light of life, both in this life and forever.

God does not take pleasure in the condemnation and judgment of the wicked.
He says, “Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord God, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live?” (Ezekiel 18:23)

“God desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:4)
God is waiting for you to repent:
“The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)
Jesus has sacrificed Himself in your place and taken on the wrath of God that you deserved so that you could have the blessings of God that only someone who is completely righteous deserves. And Jesus expresses His sorrow over those who reject the salvation He offers. He said these words as He was traveling into Jerusalem:
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing!” (Matt 23:37)
Do you believe that God does not want to see you perish, but instead wants to share His joy and love and goodness with you?
