The Gospel




Your part in all this is to receive the forgiveness He is offering you, trust Him for the forgiveness of your sin, and thank him for restoring you to a place of righteousness in the eyes of God. How do you do this? You can do that in prayer right now.

Prayer is just talking honestly with God. He knows your heart—your words don’t need to be fancy, they just need to express the honest thoughts and feelings of your mind and heart. If the following words express your heart, you can pray them right now and Jesus will forgive your sin and come to live in you forever:

”Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner and that I have sinned against the holiness and righteousness of God. For this, I know I deserve the judgment and wrath of God. But please forgive my sin and save me from this judgment. I believe you have lived a perfect life and then exchanged yourself for me on the cross. I do believe that you are offering me your righteousness in exchange for my sin and I want to take you up on that offer right now. So, from now on I will belong to you and trust you to forgive my sin. Thank you for saving me and thank you for promising to never leave me or forsake me. Amen!”

If you just prayed that prayer and meant it, then all of it is now true for you based on the trustworthiness of God Himself—and it is impossible for God to lie. So, rejoice! You are now born again into a new life in Jesus Christ!!! And He promises to never leave you!
